Last week I ate this, and today I tabao-ed the same! For 兴化炒米粉, besides the fresh ingredients, the bee hoon is one of the most important ! It is Super thin type, 很幼!

When u eat the thin bee hoon, you will know it is of a higher grade. The chef skills is

. The thin bee hoon absorbs the goodness from the fresh prawns and flower clams, meat & fried shallots

There are about 4-5 flower clams, looks very clean. Plenty of green veges and some peanuts. For $6.50, Portion is big , can be good for 2pax if you are small eaters. And most importantly, it is really nice

. Don’t forget their chilli marinade, it’s very good too.

If you pay by Breadtalk app, you have 10% discount, means the Xinghua Bee Hoon will cost $5.85.

If you do not know what to eat for lunch or dinner, you can come to try this stall! Hope it suits your taste buds.

This is one of the more popular stall in this coffeeshop. I asked for all-水煮 wanton noodle. $4.80.

If it is all wanton, then there is no char-siew, but got 5 wantons.

If normal (number 1 on their menu), I think it will come with 2 boiled wantons & 1 fried wanton & char siew.

Yummmy! One of my favourite noodles, I used to eat at their sengkang Blk 350 Anchorvale Branch too.

Ordered 1c on their menu: Sarawak Kolo Mee with dark sauce $4.50.

(Usually I order 1a (original), today I try their dark sauce version.)

Yummy! Very nice with the dark sauce!

I have been eating Sarawak noodles at these two Sarawak noodles stall in Sengkang and Punggol for many years now, and their noodles are quite consistent and they have the same two ladies helming the stall for many years !!!

Beware: Their chilli red chilli is very potent, but it is the star too!

I also added their green cut chilli padi and red cut chilli too.

And their Sarawak pepper powder also packs powder, you can purchase them form the stall too.

One of my favourite Prawn Noodles in Sengkang. Fresh Prawns, qq noodle texture, flavourful sweet soup. Yummy!!! Love the clear and flavourful soup. Dry version is good too

Dumplings are freshly made daily! For first timer, you may want to try their soup version.

If you look at their store front, there are 6 types of flavours:

Garlic sauce, peanut sauce, hot boiled, viral mixed sauce with chilli oil, Cantonese style soup, fiery spicy & tangy soup.

Today I ordered their signature Shrimp & Crab Roe Pork Wanton Noodles dry version. $7.80 Number 12 on their menu. The rest are priced around $6.80.

The staff didn’t asked me what flavour I want, so probably they gave me the default, no sauce and some soya sauce. I went to the sauce counter to top up and try the sauces.

Love their dumplings, prawn & ingredients are fresh

. Noodle textures are good, portion quite big.

I ordered the $5.20 (small).

When they served me, i see only a plate of fried noodles with fried lards, red-cut chilli

& a lime

. I asked myself “ Eh… don’t tell me small size means no prawns and sotong…”

After squeezing the lime, I found the “hidden” prawns

& sotong!!!

Everyone has their own favourite Bak Chor Mee BCM, and this has to be one of the best minced meat noodles in Punggol !

Everything about this bowl of BCM, the savoury sauce & chilli, the Mee Pok noodle texture , the minced meat, the thickness of the pork slices (not over cooked) , the mushroom, the fried wanton, the Big meat ball in the soup ! In my personal experience, it was great!

One more thing, I love their dang cai 冬菜, a kind of salted preserved vege, usually a favourite for Teochews 潮州人。

And their pork lards are very crispy. Usually I will skip them as I am aging, today I devoured them 🤣

I had ate at this stall when they were at 312A foodcourt. They shifted to 308C Punggol Walk a few years ago.

I arrived today Monday at about 8.45am after a walk. The person in front of me tabao 22 packets of BCM !!! At first I was told to wait, then the elderly kind auntie who helms the cooking said she will cook for me in 10 minutes as I ordered only 1 bowl.

The big meatball in the soup is really good! Can add extra order if you want. Quite rare to find these kind of meatballs nowadays, especially in Punggol.

Can try their Lor Mee too, it is also very nice 👍👍.

Heard the elderly might have plans to retire, so come try asap…before you missed them

i was roaming around deciding what to eat. The crowd in front of the stall caught my attention. Ok, I shall try tom yum noodle soup tonight since I had rice for lunch.

There are two kinds of ingredients you can pick, one category is for you to put into soup, another category will be deep fried and put into a separate bowl.

The tom yum soup is very power! Abit overwhelming for me! But tom yum soup should be like this, quite salty & spicy & sour

The deep fried yong tau fu are very well done. Savoury. Think this is the differentiation between this stall and other usual yong taufu stalls

This Hokkein Mee was recommended by one of our fellow member who commented on the new stall some time back. Ah Huat Hokkein Prawn Mee is located @ 308C Punggol Walk S(823308) , next to Sumang LRT. Opening hours: 9am to 8pm.

Nowadays I don’t always eat Fried Hokkein Prawn

Noodles. Need to be more health conscious as already young Senior.

But Hokkein Mee is still one of my son’s favourite. Today, he is at home, so thought of Taobao from him. So got an excuse to eat

We ordered two $6 plates of Hokkein

Mee (only one size). One plate came with 2 prawns and another 3 prawns

This version of Hokkein Prawn Noodle is the dry version, no gravy when served. Very flavourful, the broth is infused into the noodles and thin beehoon, Nice

One of the nicer Mee Rebus. Although it is not the cheapest, it is one of the nicest. Used to be very long queue before they change ownership. Now price higher, so queue shorter, but still got queue as their quality is

Ordered XO 炸鱼肉米粉 Fried Fish Meat Bee Hoon. Very Nice. This was recommended by my wife. We have patronised this Zichar stall for many many years. My favourite is their signature 咸鱼白米粉，三捞河粉，虾酱鸡 etc.

My wife recently tried one of their other signature: XO 炸鱼肉米粉 . I have not tried this as it was priced $7.50 and I eat fish soup at other stall.

Saw my wife tabao back a few times and she said many people ordered this XO fried fish meat bee hoon while she was ordering.

When I was in the queue ordering, I heard the lady in front of me also ordered this dish. And their signage that displays their business hours, also has this XO 魚头米粉。My wife prefer the 炸鱼肉than 鱼头, and by default, she said they will serve with milk.

Wow Wow Wow, I found about 6 large pieces of fried fish meat. Soup is very nice

, bee hoon smooth. Worth the calories!!! Value for money!

Imo, this Zichar stall is one of the best in Sengkang.

Pig Liver Minced Meat Chilli Mee Pok. i chose 6a on the menu. $5.80 Dry version is 50cents priced higher than soup version $5.30. The staff prepares the pig liver last, and he asked me on the doneness of the pig liver. I told him not too over cooked & not too raw, just nice

is quite hot. Besides the liver, the chilli is the main character of this dish.

For Pig Liver lovers, you can try 8a on their signboard menu. I confirm with the staff and he says this stall is operating 24hours!

Ordered Signature Wanton Char Siew Noodles. Superb ingredients Quality.

Slim Noodle Texture was really QQ, so nice together with their dark accompanying sauce.

4 plump delicious Wantons in ikan bilis soup. Tasty lean Char Siew perfectly charred. Few pieces of crispy pork lard. Generous vege portions! Loves everything!

I made a special trip to this stall last week at 6.30+pm before they closed at 7pm. I ordered a $4 plate , add hum (cockles). To my dismay, I was told “No more hum!!!” 🙁. I hesitated for 2 seconds whether I should proceed to eat Char Kway Teow without harm (hum). 🤣.

In the end, I didn’t 😅. I left the stall unwillingly with the craving unfulfilled. I had Cze cha instead. By then it was about 7+pm.

Saw Mr Tan (Master Chef of Armenian Street Char Kway Teow) at the roadside beside the foodcourt. Had a little chitchat with him.

Haha… I asked him why no enough hum??? 🧐 Haha…. He said he don’t order alot as he wanted to keep the hums as fresh as possible! Usually should have enough. However, on some days, there are more customers wanting to add extra hum to their Char Kway Teow (like me 😅). So they will run out of hums towards the end of the day.

I also told Mr Tan that I saw the MediaCorp TV programme featuring Mr Tan teaching his Char Kway Teow gongfu secret recipe to 2 selected disciples in a hawker challenge. Haha..abit controversial, I also support Mr Tan’s decision for the winner. Anyone watched it?

Today, I was around this area, so the Char Kway Teow crave brought me back to this stall. The first thing is asked” Got hum or not?” 🤣🤣🤣.

Hahaha… CKT craving fulfilled!!!🥰 🌟🌟🌟 Very nice. The wok hei, the lard, the hums, the Lup Cheong, the taste 👅 etc…. Heard hums were larger yesterday, but it is still a perfect Char Kway Teow for me !!! 👍👍👍.

Mr Tan still helms the Wok personally 💪💪💪 for Armenian Street Char Kway Teow at Blk 303 Anchorvale! Many Decades and thousands & thousands plates of Char Kway Teow frying, every plate he dishes out from the wok is a masterpiece!!!

At first, I wanted to order Number 2 (Dry) $4 on their signboard menu. The stall holder clarified that Dry version doesn’t come with soup. If I want soup, I would have to order Number 4 (Soup version) $5.

👌. Then I asked about their signature Number 1 , $8, dry noodle with a bowl of soup. Since it’s my first time trying, I decided to order Number 1.

Hmmm…. Nice smooth qq noodles ! With great chilli 🌶️, a bit more spicy than normal 🥰. Crispy Dried fish 👍.

And the soup 🌟. Pork & Liver perfectly cooked, can taste 👅 fresh juiciness of these ingredients. One meat ball and one Fuzhou fish ball. The 🌟 soup was 💥 power packed, I emptied the whole bowl of soup ! Sedap!

🌟🌟 really nice noodle with fresh ingredients in the star soup, just that the $8 price tag is on the higher side for hawker centre context.

You can order Number 4 (Soup version) $5 to give them a try. Or together with a $4 Dry Version, total $9 to enjoy the best of both worlds 😃.

Very nice Lor Mee 🌟🌟. Ordered fried fish Lor Mee. A quick lunch as I have viewings nearby. The dark gravy was 🌟😍 flavourful. Ordered extra 齋鹅to dip in the gravy.

Had a little chat with the stall owner. He said that he just moved from Geylang Lor 31 to 303 Anchorvale in late 2022. Operating for a few months already. He said his main clientele were Malaysians while he was at Geylang.

Have not tried deep fried prawn 🦐 noodle, so I ordered. Hmmm, it’s good 😊🌟. Prawns are fresh! My wife loves the noodle, she says it is smooth 滑滑的！

The chilli 🌶️, the shallots, the lard for the dry version won a 👍from my wife. Try the dry version 👍👍👍.

Bought extra one piece of fish cake $1.80 to try. Hmmm, fishcake will be much better if they can serve it hot or warmer.

Prior to visiting this stall, I read many reviews about this famous chicken wings… some good some bad.. there’s no right or wrong.

When I reached there at 8+am, the queue was short.
As for their famous chicken wing, I quite like it 🌟, still crispy at the edges of the drumstick area🍗 , still warm (fried not long ago). The bee-hoon mee was normal, Otah was quite nice 🌟.

🌟🌟🌟Amoy St Lor Mee @ Fernvale Hawker Centre.

There were a few times I was too early (stall not open yet) , and once I was too late (the gravy was finished, Sold out! Missed by a few minutes as I was taking a client’s call). Finally got to try this nice lor mee.

Ordered the Jumbo Meal. 🌟🌟🌟👍👍. It’s one of the best Lor Mee in Sengkang/Punggol Area.

[25/7/2022] Famous Seng Hiang Bak Chor Mee (Bedok 85) and Whitley Road Big Prawn Noodle @ Fernvale Hawker Centre. Fernvale Community Centre, Level 3. Remember to use your Kopitiam card to get a 10% off.

We reached around 6pm today. Some stalls like Amoy Street Lor Mee, Fried Carrot Cake already sold out. Very Crowded since today is their first opening date. About 30mins wait for these 2 stalls. 人山人海。

Many other choices, so many things I want to try next time: Thunder Tea Rice, Umi Spices (Nasi Padang) , Hock Hai (Hong Lim) Curry Chicken Noodle, Xin Xin Claypot Rice, 阿2 Herbal Soup, Amoy Street Lor Mee…..etc. Foodie Hurray! Must exercise more to eat 😋

There is a nice Signature Koi Bubbletea Shop at Level 1 that sells ice cream & waffles 🧇.

My wife says the Bak Chor Mee is nice 🌟🌟.

However, the Whitley Road Prawn Noodle dry, Big prawns 🦐 are fresh but their chilli 🌶 today is not as good as it should be. So, if you want to order, try their soup version.

Popped by their Sumang punggol outlet for a quick lunch after meeting Parc Centros condo sellers.

Very potent Laksa

This Laksa Gravy is temptingly very potent

, a bit to the salty and thicker side 咸咸的

, but I love

it.

This stall serves the type of laksa gravy that I would finish the whole bowl of gravy IF I am younger !!! One of the best Laksa in Sengkang!

With age, I have jammed the brakes!!!

. I only take a few spoonfuls

Food is important, Health is also important, so take lesser and exercise more

. If too healthy, then all food will be not so interesting.

. Need to strike a balance

as we are responsible for our family, we are all related.

While queueing, I saw one eating 腊汁肉夹馍 (Cheese Hamburger – Number 1 on their menu) with a bowl of noodle. Another man eating the 牛羊肉泡馍(Number 16).

Hmmmm….
What shall I eat? I tried their 刀削面knife shaved noodle before.

Ok, this time I try Number 4: Xi An Signature Noodle 西安招牌拌面, the biggest image on its main signboard。Noticed that it is similar to Number 3: Biang Biang Noodle 面，the only two words that are not translated on the whole menu : Biang Biang 🤣.

Xi An Signature Noodle 西安招牌拌面 was made on the spot from a small dough. It was pulled then flattened using a roller. Then thrown “uncut” into the hot water. Nice!!! Quite thin and QQ. Their signature dish should be Biang Biang noodle, with extra ingredients. 👍👍🙏 the difference is 30cents ( $5.20 vs $5.30) 🧐…

Will try their Chinese Hamburger 腊汁肉夹馍 next time. Xiao Longbao小笼包, Char Jiang Mian 炸酱面，and also their 棍棍面！😛…. wah…so many dishes to try.

Brought my mumil for early breakfast at 7+am. Cannot go far as this morning got early appointment. Gotto rush back. I knew this shop start operations at 7am.

She ordered Beehoon & I ordered my usual yellow noodle. Loves the soup

Wow, really very good. Although they have a promo going on, I went for their signature Blissful set which consist of all you need to try: Braised Chicken Drumstick meat, Duck Drumstick meat, Spare Ribs, Braised egg 🥚& mushroom🍄. Infused with wonderful gravy that has more than 30 herbs which are nutritious for our body.

The man scouped some of gravy from each of the 4 big earth jars🧉, and place them into my bowl. Wah ! Shiok… The Zup (gravy) contains all the goodness and all the nutrients for over 30 years! 精华！好料.

The Hor Fun was thin and smooth, and even the simple looking chilli also gave me a wow. Mushrooms and egg, soaked in these power gravy, were a notch above normal braised stuff.

They certainly deserved to be awarded Michelin Gourmand for 4 times! Felt blissful after having this bowl of braised nutritious herbal meal.

This is one of the best Wanton Noodles in Punggol. Generous portion of lean and delicious Char Siew and well cooked noodles, and complete with very nice chilli sauce ! Best of all, it is $3.00 and the wanton are bigger with nice fillings ! Pictures tell a thousand words!

Salted Fish Fried White Bee Hoon cost $6. Super Nice. Ingredients & Prawns are very fresh. Fried with Flaming Fire, and be sure to taste the “Wok Hei”. This stall also serves 881(XO) Fish head Steamboat, Crab Bee Hoon and many Cze Cha dishes. It is very much different from Sembawang White Bee Hoon. This is dry version White Bee Hoon, very fragrant Wok Hei and super nice with salted fish ! MUST TRY if you are in Seng Kang !!! This is a hidden food Gem in Sengkang!

Hong Kong Street Zhen Da Ji is also well known for its XO Crab Bee Hoon, XO Fish Head Bee Hoon, Prawn Paste Chicken, San Lau Hor Fun, Cuttlefish Kangkong, Curry Fish Head !!! But the Salted Fish White Bee Hoon is a MUSSSTTTT TRYYYYYYYY !!! You can try its 豉汁河粉 too !

At first i was sceptical but was blown away by its very delicious Fried Hokkien Prawn Noodle, cooked with rich broth and very nice chilli too ! Try its Char Kway Teow, setup too !!!
