I initially wanted to order 🐊Crocodile Meat to try. My friend preferred to eat the sambal stingray.
When I saw the menu, I spotted this 黑白鱼Black & White Fish 🐟(BBQ Dover). It stated seasonal price. So I asked the lady staff, how much is it? $18 was her reply. Stingray is priced at $10-$15. Okay, pay a little bit extra to try something different!
So we ordered BBQ Dover 🐟 黑白鱼. plus Butter Lala and vege Baby Kailan.
Sambal BBQ Dover 🐟 黑白鱼 is 🌟🌟. Look at the banana leaf beneath, burnt 🔥! Fish is bbq-ed in the real BBQ way I love! Slightly burnt 🔥. Very very nice sambal 🌟 covering the fish. Soft meat, nicely grilled.
This BBQ fish 🐟 is not for beginner fish eater, it has sweet and soft flesh, but quite abit of bones (Be extra careful). Very flavourful, eating it by its own (slight burnt ) or with the power sambal! 🌟!
Nice Butter Lala & Baby Kailan too. My friend gave his thumbs up 👍👍👍.

水晶河粉 🌟Crystal Hor Fun,虾米啦啦 🌟Lala with Shrimplets,炸苏东仔 Deep Fried Baby Squid from PinWei Fang Zichar. 品味坊煮炒。

My friend’s first time trying this Crystal Hor Fun. Hmmm, something different. “Nice” he said.
We ordered a different cooking style for the Lala instead of the usual sambal Lala. When it arrived, it looked pretty plain. But when I put one of the Lala into my mouth, Wow….it was bursting with Hae B 🦐 shrimplets flavour. Very nice 🌟🌟🌟🌟. Thumbs up from me and my friend.

Their KL Style Hokkien Mee and Curry fish head are good too.

Another Hong Kong Street Cze Cha (Zichar) in Sengkang.  They have other branches in 10 North Bridge Rd, 154 Serangoon North Ave 1.

鹹魚白米粉 Salted Fish Fried White Bee Hoon !!  MUST TRYYYYYYY!

Salted Fish Fried White Bee Hoon cost $6.  Super Nice. Ingredients & Prawns are very fresh. Fried with Flaming Fire, and be sure to taste the “Wok Hei”.  This stall also serves 881(XO) Fish head Steamboat, Crab Bee Hoon and many Cze Cha dishes. It is very much different from Sembawang White Bee Hoon. This is dry version White Bee Hoon, very fragrant Wok Hei and super nice with salted fish !  MUST TRY if you are in Seng Kang !!!  This is a food Gem in Sengkang!   

Hong Kong Street Zhen Da Ji is also well known for its XO Crab Bee Hoon, XO Fish Head Bee Hoon, Prawn Paste Chicken, San Lau Hor Fun, Cuttlefish Kangkong, Curry Fish Head !!! But the Salted Fish White Bee Hoon is a MUSSSTTTT TRYYYYYYYY !!!  You can try its Moonlight River. 夜光河 (粉) and 豉汁河粉 too !

三捞河粉。San Lou Hor Fun. Had this last night.

Do not be deceived by its slightly pale appearance, with white fish slices and white bean sprouts. Buried beneath them is the 🌟wok-hei stir fried Hor Fun.

Very fresh fish slices and still “crunchy” bean sprouts, together with the Hor fun and its limited tasty “chup” gravy and complementary green chives… it is one of my favourite san lou Hor Fun. My eldest son’s favourite too.

This Cze Cha (Zichar) stall is 👍👍!
And it bears the same name as the Coffeeshop. They should be the master tenant.

The pyramid that looks like ice kacang from far, and looks like rojak when you are near is one of their featured dish: Cuttlefish & Kang Kong. It is a very good appetitizer!! Quite Unique, very creative!

🌟This pyramid has got many layers. On the top is fried shredded cuttlefish, and as you go down (like ice kacang), you can find chilli-cuttlefish, then shredded turnip and tau-pok, and fried kang-kong with flour. And these all comes coated with a very power premium prawn paste that hits you immediately! And shredded mango and generous sprinkles of peanuts. 🌟Appetitzer at $12.

I also ordered their San Luo Hor Fun. It arrived with lots of gravy and slices of mushroom. Can taste a little bit of wok hei, fish fresh, quite good. (I prefer the dry-er version).

If you notice their main signboards, their signature would be Double-flavour Crab 🦀 (双味螃蟹)! For those more adventurous, can try their Intestine with dried shrimp (蝦米黄梨生肠), Hot-plate prawns served with pandan leaves (铁板班兰叶蝦🦐) and curry fishhead.

One of our members Mr Toh mentioned that their 滑蛋Hor Fun is not bad 👍.

This Cze Cha stall is good 👍👍👍, can go try!!!  Think they just moved from Punggol Settlement to Punggol East.

We ordered their Paper Wrap Seafood Treasure 纸包海鲜大宝(Crab 🦀+ Flower Crab). This treasure include other seafood like prawn, Lala, mussels, slipper prawn 虾婆,corn , potato, etc… we chose black pepper cooking style.

+ Fu Rong Egg (for the kids) + garlic nai bai vege + stir fried beef. 3 adults + 2 young Kids enjoyed this meal.

MUSSSSSST TRY THEIR CLAYPOT 3-CUP CHICKEN 三杯雞。 3 Cups?  This famous dish said to be cooked with 3 small cups of Soy Sauce 酱油、Rice Wine米酒、Sesame Oil 麻油 and added with some sugar 白砂糖.  Very Nice!

Usually i have to travel all the way to Bedok 85 to get my Stingray cravings fixed!!!  This is probably one of the ONLY place in Sengkang that i know of that serves very Nice Stingray without getting a hammer knocked on your head (Kar Cai Tao).  There is another coffeeshop in Sengkang i know that also serves Stingrays, but it is very pricey (about $20) , it is definitely beyond my comfort zone!!!  I found this BBQ Seafood Zi Char (Cze Cha) stall in one of the newer Coffeeshop located at Anchorvale.  It serves super nice BBQ Stingray at $10, $12, $15.  Same Price level as Bedok 85 !!! And most importantly, i find the QUALITY comparable!!!

At first , i tried their Stingray rice at $5, but the Stingray portion is too small for me !!!  But, It is only $5, so i cannot expect a lot !!!  The sambal really “sting” me !!!  I eventually returned to try their $12 Stingray !  It is really done to my liking ! Slightly fried, before BBQ-ing.  The Sambal topping was POWWWWWER !!!!.  It will really “STING” your taste buds,  and leaving you with Satisfication Rays coming out of your head !   They serves also Zi Char and other BBQ Seafood, like Lala, Sotong, and many other mouthwatering delicacies!  Enjoy this hidden food gem !

Thick fresh Sting Ray Meat, covered with POWWWER Sambal. Remember to squeeze the Lime to complete the STINGGGG to your Taste Buds. This will be the place to go for Stingray for now !!! Don’t have to travel to Bedok 85 anymore !

This famous Cze Char stall set its foot on Punggol ground in September 2018.  A big welcome to Sengkang and Punggol Food Trail.  This is a new food Gem in Punggol ! They have other branches in Blk 117 Commonwealth Drive, Blk 18 Bedok South and Blk 673B Choa Chu Kang Crescent.

It was in the late 1980s when the old Hong Kong Street rose to fame.  The Cze Char Great Master passed down his recipes to start their “Hong Kong Street” restaurants.  Owner of Hong Kong Street Chun Kee, Ah Yao, was one of them.  Deep Fried “Har Cheong Gai”  or Prawn Paste Chicken is their Signature dish.  They are also famous for their Teochew Style Fish Head Steamboat.

Located at Food Paradise Foodcourt at Blk 658 Punggol East Singapore 820658, located next to Punggol waterway.  They have 3 BIG UMBRELLA, just next to the waterway where you can see people exercising, walking, cycling…..  So COOL to eat under one of these !  And you know what,  when i was there, it started to drizzle after i placed my order !  LUCKILY, I M UNDER ONE OF THESE SHELTER !!!.   ITS SHEER SIZE DID SHIELD OFF THE RAIN FOR MY FAMILY !

Teochew Style Fish Head Charcoal Steamboat ($25). You can order the clear soup or the other version with milk. The counter service personnel recommended the one with MILK. MOO MOOOOOOOO…. Comes with lots of seaweed and a Teochew plum swimming in the soup.

Nice and Fresh. Clear and smooth soup. There is no OATS added as this is the Teochew Style !

it is not difficult to realise that this Cze Cha or Cze Zhar stall specialised in Crabs.  Its signboards are using crab shells as well.  All Crabs are pre-weighed, and price tags labelled on each crab, so that you will be caught by surprise when you received your bills later, you have in mind how much each crab costs.  Pick and choose the ones you like and get them cook in different styles.  Remember to order their Sharkfin Soup with Crab Meat !!!

Haha…Colonel Sanders also like this Zi Char stall…(See Pic)  This Zi Char Stall is located next to the KFC outlet at Buangkok MRT, near the NTUC Fairprice at Blk 277C.  It is very popular for its Fish Steamboat , especially its Red Grouper Steamboat.  They have different kinds of Crabs : Butter Crabs, Salted Egg Crabs, Chilli Crabs, Black Pepper Crabs, Crab Stewed Bee Hoon, Crab Bee Hoon Soup….You may call their hotline at 64811132 for reservation or pre-order first before arriving.

“Dai Lou” in Cantonese means Big Boss or Big Brother !!!   This Big Brother makan place is happening !!!!!   It is located in (Punggol) Marina Country Club.   You can eat while enjoying the SEA BREEZE at the PIER !!!   They have both the Traditional Zi Char Dishes as well as more creative Fusion Food.  Making an entrance in late 2017, they are making splashes in Punggol Sengkang Food arena.  From 10.30pm onwards, they will change to Lok Lok !!!

Legend Cafe is located next to a very popular landmark in Sengkang, The Sengkang Swimming Pool !!!!  Housed at the Anchorvale Community Centre, it is accessible by the PCN (Park Connector) for joggers and cyclists.  Even residents in Sengkang may not know that there is this Cafe that serves Zichar food.  By the night, it is a place to chill out ! They have Live Band Performances and serves Legend, an authentic German Beer taste for your unrivalled drinking experience. They also serve Pizza as well as very nice western food (Steak and Fish & Chips).

By the day, you can enjoy their traditional breakfast set during weekends at their outdoor alfesco area.  During the night, beer mugs and towers can be seen over this area.  Nice place to chill out as it faces the riverside !

Usually very crowded over at the weekends dinner time. Live Band Music starts around 7.30pm to 8pm….

i have been patronising this stall for 10 over years.  Its simple Hor Fun is still as good !  Ate their San Lao Hor Fun 三撈河粉 and Wat-Dan Bee Hoon (with egg) today!  Their San Lao Hor Fun 三撈河粉 is a wetter version with a bit more gravy than usual ones, but you still can distinctivelyf taste the fragrant Wok-Hei !!!   Their other signatures include Curry Fish Head, Fried Beef Hor Fun, Ginger and Spring Onion Beef Rice, Prawn Ball, Marmite Pork Ribs, Fish Head Steam Boat.
