This famous Cze Char stall set its foot on Punggol ground in September 2018. A big welcome to Sengkang and Punggol Food Trail. This is a new food Gem in Punggol ! They have other branches in Blk 117 Commonwealth Drive, Blk 18 Bedok South and Blk 673B Choa Chu Kang Crescent.
It was in the late 1980s when the old Hong Kong Street rose to fame. The Cze Char Great Master passed down his recipes to start their “Hong Kong Street” restaurants. Owner of Hong Kong Street Chun Kee, Ah Yao, was one of them. Deep Fried “Har Cheong Gai” or Prawn Paste Chicken is their Signature dish. They are also famous for their Teochew Style Fish Head Steamboat.
Located at Food Paradise Foodcourt at Blk 658 Punggol East Singapore 820658, located next to Punggol waterway. They have 3 BIG UMBRELLA, just next to the waterway where you can see people exercising, walking, cycling….. So COOL to eat under one of these ! And you know what, when i was there, it started to drizzle after i placed my order ! LUCKILY, I M UNDER ONE OF THESE SHELTER !!!. ITS SHEER SIZE DID SHIELD OFF THE RAIN FOR MY FAMILY !
Teochew Style Fish Head Charcoal Steamboat ($25). You can order the clear soup or the other version with milk. The counter service personnel recommended the one with MILK. MOO MOOOOOOOO…. Comes with lots of seaweed and a Teochew plum swimming in the soup.
Nice and Fresh. Clear and smooth soup. There is no OATS added as this is the Teochew Style !

Crystal Hor Fun – $8. The Hor Fun used is not the usual Hor Fun that you normally get to see. It is really translucent (not transparent!), you can see from the above picture. It is a 3-step process that involves more work than usual Hor Fun. The Chef will first “stir fry” the Crystal Hor Fun. Then the rest of the ingredients. And finally put everything together with bean sprouts and brownish Hay-Bee-Hyam sides. To cook up this dish up to standard, you need to control the Wok heat and lots of Skills !!! too fast or too slow, too hot or too little heat, you won’t be able to make it. Enjoy this Crystal Hor Fun as it melts in your mouth !
This Dish taught us ” Appearance & Looks can be really deceiving !!! ” Kuala Lumpur Style Hokkien Noodle – $5. The Hokkien Noodles are specially imported from KL, much thicker than our Singapore Hokkien Noodle. Thick black Gravy that has a bit of sweet taste, which differs from the saltier Singapore version. This not-so-nice-looking dish is in fact very delicious, and you don’t have to travel all the way to KL to enjoy this Black Beauty !!! You will finish them all 😉

阿南甘榜鹽焗雞 Salted Baked Kampung Chicken is one of the specialty of Lam’s Signature. Its other signature dish is its Abalone Noodle. I personally find the Salted Baked Kampung Chicken a better dish, baked with salt (Not the usual fried or steam hainanese style). Just order the Salted Baked Kampung Chicken THIGH if it is for one person.
