IVINS is conveniently located at Heartland Mall which is just besides KOVAN MRT.  Anyone who stays near purple Northeast MRT Line can visit IVINS for their very affordable Peranakan food.  This was highly recommended by a true Peranakan Auntie who used to frequent IVINS !

Peranakan Chinese are the descendants of Chinese immigrants who came to the Malay archipelago including Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. They are also referred to as “Baba Nyonya”. Nyonya is the term for the women and Baba for the men.

Nyonya cooking is the result of blending Chinese ingredients with various distinct spices and cooking techniques used by the Malay or Indonesian community. As such, Peranakan food are fusion of Chinese, Malay and Indonesian food that are typically aromatic, spicy and herbal.

All dishes are generally priced between $6 to $7.90 and Yellow Rice is $1.  The above are the MUST-TRYs and they have kueh kueh for sale too.

Their desserts Buboh Cha Cha, Chendol, Gula Melaka Sago, Pulot Hitam are very nice too !
