Eat Eat Eat Hawker Food all the way From Woodlands to Sembawang to Yishun

Where to eat all the cheap and good food from Woodlands to Yishun.  These are some of the best makan places where they serve really sedup , tasty and even mouth-watering hawker food.  MUST TRY.

1. PRAWN NOODLE, WOODLANDS

Many may have travelled all the way to the east to eat the famous Beach Road Prawn Noodle. Well, if you are staying in the North, you can cut your MRT or bus fares, save your petrol money as well as avoid long travelling time just to satisfy your grumbling stomach.

a) New World (Meng Kee) Famous Prawn Noodle  新世界（明記）著名的蝦面

The current owner is second generation.  His dad used to have a stall near the Hotel New World which notoriously collapsed like papercards in the 1980s.  No Big prawns, but the prawn soup really packed power.  Do try the dry version as well because the chilli has got the omphhhh as well.  $3 for prawn noodle soup and $3.30 for prawn noodle Dry version.

b) Lai Xing  Prawn Noodle  来興蝦面

There is always a beeline queueing in front of this stall.  Do go there early as the stall will close once they exhaust the stock of their noodle.  It is really WHILE STOCK LAST.  It seems that their prawn noodle attracts more people with their “unlit” signboard than its neighbours.

The name of the stall says for itself.  It serves Really Super nice Ayam Penyet (Broken Bone) Malay Chicken Rice.  Super Nice Chilli too.

The Chicken are golden brown and very crispy.  Heard stallholders change the frying oil frequently , so that oil are not over-used.  This helps maintain standard of fried chicken.
