The Oval at Hyde Park Gate Area is the first phase of The Oval @ redeveloped Seletar Aerospace Park. It is a Hidden Gem as this place is not near residential area and it is not so-easily-accessible by public transport. However, do visit this place and it is definitely worth the trip if you want something different. With its location next to the Seletar Airport, you can do plane watching at Hyde Park Gate, especially smaller jet planes that are not so commonly seen at major Airports.
Everything here is aeroplane themed. Even the benches are Paper-Aeroplane-shaped. Aeroplane Playground, Aeroplane Slide and you can even play a Giant Aeroplane Chess with your friends !!!! You can walk, Jog or Cycle around Hyde Park Gate compound (A small Oval Loop). At Hyde Park Gate, you will see Colonial black and white bungalows houses previously used by British Royal Air Force. This place is also a hidden dining enclave for foodies, usually more crowded in the night and during weekends.
